Try it with an example

Pick one on the next page and run it, or bring your own.

Enlarge a low-resolution photo without installing desktop software. Upload a small, soft or pixelated image, pick 2x or 4x, and get a bigger, sharper version that is still recognisably your photo — compare it with the original on a slider before you download.

How it works

  1. Upload the photo you want enlarged. Screenshots, web images, scans and AI-generated pictures all work.
  2. Pick a factor: 2x doubles the size, 4x quadruples it.
  3. A quick quality check runs first — photos that are already high resolution are told so and not charged, and heavily damaged photos get a warning before anything is spent.
  4. Compare before and after, then download the enlarged image.

What it's for

  • Printing a web-sized photo or phone screenshot at a usable size
  • Showing a small image on a large screen without visible pixels
  • Cleaning up soft or slightly blurry images for presentations and listings

What it won't do

It enlarges what is in your photo; it doesn't reinvent it. Faces stay the same faces, signs keep their exact wording, and areas that are too degraded to reconstruct honestly stay soft rather than being filled with made-up detail. Heavily damaged prints are better repaired first — Photo Restore in the related tools below does that.

Tips for the best result

Start from the largest version of the image you have. 2x is usually enough for screens and moderate prints; choose 4x when you need serious enlargement, such as printing a small photo at poster size.

Questions

How long does it take?

Usually well under a minute. You can leave the page — the result is saved to your history and you'll find it there when it's done.

How much does it cost?

23 credits per photo, or 27 with the 4x factor. Photos that the quality check flags as already high resolution are refused and not charged.

Will it invent detail that wasn't in my photo?

No. The enlargement is a resolution change, not a redesign: faces, people, objects and text come from your original image. Where the source is too blurry or damaged to reconstruct honestly, the result keeps that area soft instead of making up new detail. If the check thinks your photo is too damaged to benefit, it warns you first and you can decide whether to continue.

What happens to my photos?

Your upload and the result are kept for 30 days so you can download them, then deleted automatically. We don't use your photos to train models, and the tool doesn't identify or compare faces; it only changes the size.

Why was my photo refused?

Two reasons: it is already high resolution (upscaling would add nothing but file size), or it is heavily damaged or noisy (upscaling would mainly distort it). In both cases no credits are charged. For damaged prints, repair the photo first — see Photo Restore in the related tools below.
