Every child loves hearing stories — and no child loves a story more than one where THEY are the hero. Tell us your child's name and age, what they're into this month, and get an original bedtime story that stars them.

How it works

  1. Fill in the name and age, and what your child loves right now (a toy, an animal, a favourite colour).
  2. Pick a theme — bedtime winds down to sleep, adventure is for a rainy afternoon.
  3. Read it aloud, or let your early reader take a turn.

Grown to fit your child

  • A 3-year-old gets short sentences and gentle repetition; an 8-year-old gets a real plot with a small twist
  • What they love becomes part of the plot, not a name-drop — the dinosaur doesn't just appear, it matters
  • Want to pass on something like sharing or bravery? It happens in the story, never as a lecture

Tonight, not someday

Stories stream in as they're written — by the time you tuck in, the ending is ready. Every run is a new story, so tomorrow night can be a sequel.

Questions

Is it age-appropriate?

Yes — vocabulary, sentence length and plot complexity follow the age you enter. A 3-year-old gets short sentences and gentle repetition; an 8-year-old gets a fuller adventure. All stories are wholesome by design: no scary imagery, no violence, no ads.

Can the same child get a new story every night?

Yes, every run is original. Reuse the same name and interests and you'll get a fresh plot — kids love "another one about me and the dinosaur", and you can even ask for a sequel by mentioning last night's story in the notes.

Does it really teach the lesson I choose?

It shows the lesson rather than preaching it: a story about sharing has the hero share and see what happens next. That said, a story opens the conversation — talking about it afterwards with your child is where the lesson sticks.

How long can the story be?

Short (about 2 minutes read aloud), medium (about 3 minutes) or long (about 4 minutes). For bedtime, short or medium with the bedtime theme tends to work best — the story is designed to calm down, not wind up.
