Photograph your face and your foundation shade card, and Makeup Plan answers the two questions every trip to the cosmetics aisle starts with: which shade is mine? and what do I actually do with it? You get a skin reading, a shade match from your own card, and five genuinely different looks with the exact application order.

How it works

  1. Take a bare-skin selfie in good light, and photograph your foundation shade card.
  2. Pick the occasion — everyday, office, or party — and mention any preferences.
  3. Get a skin reading, your matched shade, and a lookbook with step-by-step order for each look.

Shade matching from your own card

The shade verdict comes from the card in your photo, not a generic chart. The reading (undertone, depth, texture notes like shine or dryness) drives the match and the application advice — matte down the T-zone, or an extra layer of warmth if the selfie runs cool.

Five looks, actually different

The plans are instructed to find different angles — fresh minimal, soft polish, mono-tone flush, evening definition — not one look in five fonts. Every look is broken into 3-4 ordered steps naming what to use and how to apply it, referencing the shade names printed on your card.

Sensible by default

A patch-test reminder ships with every plan, your allergy or preference notes are respected (matte only, skip shimmer), and no real brand names are invented — suggestions stay at the generic-product level your makeup bag can actually satisfy.

Questions

Does the shade match replace an in-store test?

It's a strong starting point, not a guarantee. The match is made from your selfie against the shades printed on your card — lighting in your photo affects it. The result suggests checking the runner-up shade in daylight before committing.

Why do I need to photograph my foundation card?

So the plan speaks your products' language. Steps reference the shade names printed on your own card (like "WB20 Sand"), which makes every look repeatable with what you already own or can buy confidently.

Can I use it without the shade card?

The shade card is required — it's what anchors base-product steps. Retry with a clearer card photo if the names can't be read; the run stops before planning rather than guessing.

What if my face or the card can't be read?

You'll get a note explaining that no face or no shade names could be read, with retake advice (even light, no filter; the card's printed names sharp and in frame). No plan is invented and no credits are charged.

Will it work for deep or very fair skin?

Yes. The reading is made from your selfie, and the match comes from your card's range — the advice adapts to whatever range your card covers.

Anything to be careful about?

Every plan ends with a patch-test reminder (new products on the jaw or inner arm, 24 hours). Skip anything on the notes list you entered — the plan respects allergies and preferences you declare.
