Picture Logic — Free Nonogram Picross Puzzles

Picture Logic is a browser nonogram: numbers on each row and column describe the runs of filled cells. Mark every cell by pure logic and a hidden pixel picture appears.

60 handcrafted puzzles

  • 20 × 5×5 — perfect for learning the logic (the first three are interactive tutorials).
  • 25 × 10×10 — the classic sweet spot.
  • 15 × 15×15 — longer deductions for patient solvers.

Every puzzle is machine-verified before it ships: exactly one solution, and solvable from an empty grid by row/column logic alone — never a guess, never an ambiguous image. Duplicate checkers reject mirror or rotated copies.

Tools that keep it fair

  • Two pens — fill and mark-empty. Tap a set cell to clear it. Every stroke is one undo step.
  • Hints that explain themselves — the hint derives a forced cell from one specific row or column and tells you which; if your marks contradict the clues, it says so instead of peeking at the answer.
  • Completion is honest — a board completes when the filled cells match the picture; marking empty cells is optional.
  • Hints mark the run as assisted; unassisted best times are tracked separately.

Daily puzzle and challenges

A daily puzzle rotates at 00:00 UTC for everyone. Result texts carry a challenge code (ATG1-NG-r1-c1-l8) that replays the same puzzle for a friend — without spoiling the picture or its name.

Questions

Do I ever have to guess?

No. Every puzzle is verified before shipping to have exactly one solution and to be solvable from an empty grid using only row-and-column logic. If you're stuck, the hint will show you a forced next step — it never just reveals the answer.

What do the numbers mean?

Each number is the length of one run of consecutive filled cells in that line, in order, with at least one empty cell between runs. A "0" line is entirely empty.

Do I have to mark all the empty cells?

No. A board completes as soon as your filled cells match the picture. Marking empties with a ✕ is just a solving aid.

What does the hint do?

It picks one specific row or column, derives a cell that is forced by the clues and your current marks, and tells you which line forced it. Applying a hint marks the run as assisted — clean runs are timed separately.

What if my marks are wrong?

The hint checker will tell you that your current marks contradict the clues and suggest undoing. It never silently points at the "wrong" cell against the hidden answer.

What is the daily puzzle?

One puzzle per day, the same for everyone, chosen by the UTC date and rotating at 00:00 UTC.

What are challenge codes?

After solving a puzzle you can copy a result text like Picture Logic · Puzzle 28 · 10×10 · 06:42 · No hints · 3 undos · ATG1-NG-r1-c1-l28. The code replays that exact puzzle from an empty grid — the text never spoils the picture or its name.

Where is my progress saved?

On this device, automatically; sign in to sync times across devices. An unfinished board survives refreshing the page. Free, no ads or paywalls.
