How it works

  1. Open it and play

It runs right in your browser, on your phone too.

Neon Rush is an arcade night-driving game you can play right here — no download, no sign-up.

The whole road is drawn in light. Tail lights of the traffic ahead streak magenta, headlights in the oncoming lanes stream cyan, roadside posts flicker past and the highway snakes away into the dark. You are the fastest thing on it.

Weave through traffic

Change lanes to slip past slower cars. Your own side of the road always leaves a way through, but the gaps get tighter the farther you drive and your speed keeps climbing past 250 km/h. Brush past a car without touching it for a close-call bonus — chain them for a multiplier of up to ×4.5.

Drive against traffic for triple points

Cross the median into the oncoming lanes and every meter scores three times as much. Dodging a car head-on is worth even more. One clipped bumper costs you most of your speed, and with it precious seconds.

Beat the clock

The timer is always running. Reach each glowing gate to add time, but the gates move farther apart as you go. Hold boost to go faster — it drains quickly and refills with every close call.

Daily roads and road codes

Everyone gets the same traffic on the daily road, which changes at midnight UTC. Every run has a road code: share it and a friend can drive exactly the same road and try to beat your score.

Controls

On a keyboard, use the left and right arrow keys (or A and D) to change lanes and hold the up arrow or Space to boost. On a phone, swipe or tap the left or right side of the screen to change lanes and hold anywhere to boost. Turn your phone sideways and go full screen for the best view.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. Neon Rush runs entirely in your browser and never uses credits.

Do I need an account?

No. Without an account your best scores stay in this browser. Sign in to keep them on every device.

How do I play on a phone?

Swipe or tap the left or right half of the screen to change lanes, and hold anywhere to boost. It plays best sideways in full screen.

When does the run end?

When the clock reaches zero. Drive through the glowing gates to add time — crashing slows you down, which costs time too.

What counts as a close call?

Passing a car in the very next lane without touching it. Dodging an oncoming car scores three times as much, and close calls in a row raise your multiplier.

How do road codes work?

Every run shows a road code on the results screen. Anyone who enters it gets exactly the same traffic, so you can race your friends on the same road.

It runs slowly on my device.

The game lowers its visual quality automatically when frames drop. Closing other tabs and apps helps too.
