You wrote the essay. You know the grammar is right — the teacher marked no errors. And still, something reads off: the sentences feel stiff, the word choices sound translated, and a native writer would have said it differently. An AI rewriter would fix it in one click — and you would learn nothing, and hand in something that is not really yours. This tool takes the third path: it shows you, quote by quote, what a native writer would say instead and why.
How it works
- Paste an essay you wrote yourself — a school assignment, an application statement, a blog post draft (about 40 to 2,000 words).
- The coach reads it and returns a card for each place that reads non-native.
- Every card shows three things: your original sentence, a more natural phrasing, and a short explanation of the principle — collocation, word choice, register, flow.
- You decide: adopt what convinces you, ignore what doesn't, and make the edits in your own document. Your text stays yours.
What you get
- Contrast cards, in your essay's order — each one anchored to a verbatim quote from your text, so you always see exactly which sentence is being discussed and can find it in your draft.
- The natural phrasing — the way a native writer would say the same thing, in the same voice and register as your surrounding text. Same meaning, same facts, same opinions — only the phrasing improves.
- The why — one or two sentences naming the principle, so the fix transfers to your next essay: "look it up" vs "look for it", "responsibly" vs "in a good way", why "there are many apps that..." buries your point.
- Honest coverage — short texts get sentence-by-sentence attention; longer ones get the highest-impact issues, roughly one per paragraph. A clean essay earns few suggestions, because a clean essay needs few.
What it will never do
This is a learning aid, not a writing service. It never produces a rewritten essay or any ready-to-submit piece — even if you ask for one; requests like "just rewrite the whole thing" still come back as suggestions. It never changes your facts, examples, claims or stance — meaning is sacred; only phrasing moves. And it never scores, grades or ranks your writing — there is no band, no number, no "this would get a 6.5". The point is that you understand the why and keep the authorship.
Your essay is processed, not published
The text is sent to the AI model provider that writes the coaching and is not used to train models. A run stays in your history for up to 30 days, and you can delete it sooner; nobody else sees it.
Tips
The more honest the draft, the better the coaching: paste what you actually wrote, not text you already ran through a translator or another AI. Read the "why" before you accept any suggestion — the explanation is the product; the rewrite is just the example. And if a suggestion doesn't convince you, ignore it: you are the author, and "sounds right to me" is a valid editorial decision. Run it again after your edits to catch a second layer.
